Ventures in Community Supporting Affordable Housing
Everyone is invited to join the programs identified by the Ventures in Community Program.

The St. Martin's Vestry has agreed to help provide Wednesday dinners and Thursday morning breakfast takeout bags for 25 individuals SIGN UP NOW click on the button below to sign up!
Recipes, ingredients and supplies will be provided.
• Can you cook a dinner? either at home on your own or with other parishioners at the St. Mark campus kitchen (mutually agreeable time to be determined). Estimated cooking will take 1.5 to 2 hours.
• Want a family activity to stuff breakfast bags with provided items? This would be a great activity for kids/youth after the 10 am service. Estimated assembly will take 20 minutes.
• Are you 18+ years old, can drive and willing to serve food? Please volunteer to deliver the food (and warm it up) to Rising Hope by 6 pm Wednesday evening and stay until 9 pm to serve dinner and have fellowship with the shelter guests. 3 hours at the Shelter plus travel time.
• Can you stay until 11 pm on Wednesday night? Volunteers who arrive at 6 pm and can stay until 11 pm on Wednesday evenings at the shelter are encouraged to provide activities like a movie night or games. 5 hours at the Shelter plus travel time.
• Can’t cook? Can’t drive?We can use money donations to buy ingredients and food supplies. Click on button below to donate.
In addition, there are extra opportunities to help further:
• Are you willing to spend the night (you can sleep at the shelter) and hand out the breakfast bags the next morning between 5:30 and 7:30 am.?
• Don’t want to spend the night?Arrive before 5:30 am to help hand out the breakfast bags between 5:30 and 7:30 am to clean up and hand out breakfast bags. 2 hours at the Shelter plus travel time
Please note that there will be required training for those who will be at the Shelter. More details coming soon. We expect the training to be offered online and last 1 - 2 hours.
If every member commits to serve in some way on the dates noted, together we can make a difference for some of the most vulnerable in our community, one meal at a time. Thank you for spreading the love of Jesus, especially during the seasons of Advent, Christmas and New Year's!
