We are St. Martin de Porres Episcopal Church but how did we get here?

In March 2020, the congregations of Church of the Spirit, Olivet Episcopal Church, and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, began worshiping together, and engaged in joint fellowship and outreach, as part of a collaboration. Following a long period of self-study and discernment, the three congregations have each separately voted to merge into a single congregation, and, by subsequent vote of the combined congregations, have adopted the name St. Martin de Porres Episcopal Church.

In November 2023, the Diocese of Virginia approved the new name.
