St. Martin follows the Manual of Business Methods in the Church Affairs regarding Internal Controls.

The St. Martin de Porres Episcopal Church Security Policy applies to both Olivet and St Marks Campuses. 

In accordance with the audit guidelines of the Diocese of Virginia, financial statements and the Treasurer’s reports must be reviewed on an annual basis.

The Episcopal Diocese of VA provides the rules for records retention as defined in the Manual of Business Affairs.  This is an extract of Chapter IX for quick snap-shot of the timeframe to retain certain financial records.

The Church Communications Ministry includes areas to address church publicity, website, newsletter, REALM group emails and a phone tree where vestry members and Rector contact parishioners directly to make sure they are aware of the upcoming services or in need of pastoral care.
